Freight traffic

Methodology

Data concerning marine traffic in Montreal reports the volume of freight unloaded in the Port of Montreal.

The freight is divided into two major categories, each with two sub-categories: general freight (containerized and non-containerized, as well as the total of both) and bulk goods (dry and liquid).

The volume is expressed in metric tons and the data, both quarterly and annual, is raw – neither deseasonalized nor annualized.
